Crosswoodhill Farm is located on the north side of the Pentland Hills, 3 miles to the west of the boundary with the Pentland Hills Regional Park.

Our 3 smaller properties are in a cluster close to one another, as you will see from the red dots on the map. Our new House-on-the-Hill, Craigengar Lodge, stands where you see the M of Midcrosswood's name printed out below its red dot. The lodge stands in a field on the opposite side of the track. ( Midcrosswood, a former holiday cottage, is now lived in by our son.) Midcrosswood and Craigengar, though close by, are hardly visible to each other.

Craigengar Lodge is approximately half a mile by road and then less than half a mile by track from either Steading Cottage or Crosswoodhill Farmhouse. Allow about five minutes by car as you may have gates to open and shut. In fine weather it is a pleasant walk across the fields.
