Crosswoodhill Farm is located on the north side of the Pentland Hills, 3 miles to the west of the boundary with the Pentland Hills Regional Park.

Midcrosswood Cottage is approximately one mile by road and then track from either Steading Cottage or Crosswoodhill Farmhouse. Allow about five minutes by car as you may have gates to open and shut. In fine weather it is a pleasant walk across the fields.

N.B. 3 items guests sometimes regret they didn't pack:

binoculars for bird-watching

stout waterproof footwear or wellington boots

a suitable adaptor to convert to the 220v electrical current used in the UK (only if you intend bringing any electrical gadgets, pc.s etc. with you).
